Cart page

The full /cart page — block-based, with empty-state recently-viewed.

Updated 2026-05-09

The cart page (/cart) is the default landing when Cart type = page, or always available via "View bag" inside the drawer.

Structure

  • Items list — same UI patterns as the drawer (image, title, qty, line total, remove)
  • Order summary sidebar (right column desktop, below items on mobile)
    • Subtotal
    • Discount code (if Theme settings → Show in cart is on)
    • Free shipping bar (if enabled)
    • Tax / shipping notice
    • Total
    • Terms & conditions checkbox (if required)
    • Checkout button + payment buttons (Shop Pay etc.)
  • Empty state — when cart is empty, shows your custom heading + "Continue shopping" CTA + Recently viewed grid (if any)

Empty heading

Cart page section setting → Empty heading. Defaults to "Your bag is empty." (translated). Set a custom message if you want.

Order note

Shows above the summary. Customers type a free-form note (delivery instructions, gift message hint). Saved on submit.

Order summary

The summary block stays sticky as the customer scrolls through long carts (desktop only).

Color scheme

Both the empty-state wrapper and the items-present wrapper render with the section's color_scheme class — so the entire cart page (including the empty state CTA, summary panel, and inputs) is themed consistently regardless of which state the customer lands on.

Tips

  • Place a small "Recently viewed" grid below the empty state — customers who emptied their cart often want to keep browsing.
  • For B2B stores, enable the order note prominently.
