Overlay vs page

Dost has both a search overlay (modal triggered from the header) and a full search results page (/search).

Overlay

Click the search icon in the header → overlay slides down with:

• Big input
• Predictive results (products + collections + articles + pages, configurable)
• Trending search terms (configurable)
• Empty state with featured products / popular collections

Full page

When the customer presses Enter (or clicks "View all results"), they navigate to /search?q=... which renders:

• Search results header (count + filter sidebar)
• Filterable + sortable result grid
• Same pagination modes as collection pages

Behavior

• Both surfaces respect the same Theme settings → Search → resource-type toggles (products, collections, articles, pages)
• Both use Shopify's predictive-search engine — same fuzzy + prefix matching
