Lightbox & zoom

Customize → Product → Enable lightbox on image click (checkbox).

Behavior

When enabled, every product image is clickable. Click → full-screen overlay opens with the high-res version (1800px width) of the image.

Desktop

• Mouse wheel zooms in / out at the cursor
• + / − buttons in the top-left zoom in 0.5× steps
• Pan while zoomed via click + drag
• Arrow keys navigate between images
• Esc to close

Mobile

• Pinch with two fingers to zoom (smooth, gesture-tracked)
• Double-tap to toggle 1× / 2× zoom centered on the tap point
• Drag while zoomed to pan
• Swipe left / right to navigate between images (when not zoomed)
• Tap close button to dismiss

Image quality

Lightbox loads the 1800px-wide variant. For best clarity, upload product images at 2400px width minimum — Shopify's CDN downsamples for the lightbox cleanly.

Tips

• Always enable on apparel, jewellery, leather goods — fabric and finish detail drives conversion.
• Disable on highly stylised lifestyle imagery where zooming reveals composition tricks (out-of-focus areas).
