Gift card

Two related templates:

Gift card product (product.gift-card.json)

When a product is type "Gift card", Shopify uses this template. Same structure as a regular product page (gallery, blocks) but with denomination-aware variant picker.

Gift card receipt (gift_card.liquid)

What the recipient sees when they open a gift-card link sent by the store.

Shows:

• Brand logo
• Big gift-card code (selectable / copy-friendly)
• Remaining balance
• Expiration date (if set)
• "Apply at checkout" button → adds to cart automatically
• Optional download as Apple Wallet pass (Shopify auto-generates)

Color scheme

Theme settings → Gift card color scheme (gift_card_color_scheme, default scheme-1). The gift card receipt template reads this scheme directly into a :root override, so the entire page — including the gift-card background variable --gc-bg — follows the chosen scheme. There's no per-section override; it's a single page-level pick.

Tips

• Keep the receipt page minimal — recipients are usually copying a code or scanning the QR.
• Add a CTA below the code: "Browse the shop" — recipients are warm leads.
